The Thai Ministry of Health on Tuesday, August 17, 2021, reported 20,128 new cases of COVID-19 infection in the last 24 hours. According to a release by the Thai Bangkok Post.
According to the Thai Ministry of Health, of the 19,856 new cases reported in the general population and 272 in prisons. In addition to the recent outbreaks, an additional 239 patients were reported dead in the last 24 hours, the highest daily death toll ever. Another 20,791 patients have just been released from the hospital after recovering.
To date, Thailand has recorded a total of 948,442 cases nationwide, with 7,973 deaths and 730,437 recurrences.
