The COVID-19 Centers for Disease Control of Thailand (CCSA) on Wednesday morning, June 23, 2021, reported an additional 3,174 new cases of COVID-19 in 24 hours. The latest death toll is 51, the highest ever in a day. According to a release by Thai newspaper The Nation.
Of the recent cases, 3,138 were found in the general population, while 36 were found in prisons, the CCSA said. Another 1,941 patients have just been released from the hospital after recovering.
Since the first outbreak of COVID-19 in early 2020, Thailand has recorded a total of 228,539 cases of COVID-19 nationwide. There were 1,744 dead and 189,777 healed. In particular, for the vaccination campaign, Thailand achieved nearly 8 million doses
