Li Jian, 33, has been wandering around the family since the age of three in Changzhi in 1989. He was found by a man at a train station and raised in a town about 144 kilometers from his parents' home.
According to police, Li Jian lost his family on April 8, 1989 at 3:00 pm. His parents tried to find out by printing thousands of flyers and distributing them to bus stations, train stations and hospitals. His biological father, Li, died of self-reproach every day, and before dying, his wife was enrolled in a DNA checklist at the police station to have a chance to find him.
By September 2019, police had found an adoption record of a boy, Li Jian. Police then asked for DNA testing to match the results of Li and his wife. After spending some time investigating, police organized a mother-son reunion.
