More and more Thais still find Covid infected in new record

 

In the last 24 hours, Thailand had the highest number of Covid-19 cases, breaking a new record of 15,335 cases and 129 deaths, the health ministry said Sunday morning.

Of the new infections, 14,694 were in the general population and 641 were inmates in prisons.

Since April 1, when the third wave of Covid erupted, 468,439 Covid patients, 307,267, had been cured.

Since the outbreak earlier this year, a total of 497,302 cases have been reported, of which 334,693 have been cured.

The death toll in the third wave was 3,965, bringing the total since the outbreak earlier last year to 4,059.

The previous record for the highest daily Covid infection in Thailand was 14,575 on Friday.
