Taking that opportunity, Lok Chumteav would also like to urge all of you to join in implementing preventive measures together.

Also on Twitter, Dr. Lee Island, WHO Representative in Cambodia, expressed concern that the continued detection of cases of Covid -19 virus could lead to community outbreaks. . She added that the virus could be transmitted very quickly and called on everyone to act quickly and responsibly to deal with the virus as well as alpha.

It should also be noted that Lok Chumteav O Vandin has often warned of the dangers of crossing the red line, which could lead to more serious problems than now, and large-scale outbreaks in the community without knowing the source and transmission. It can be controlled and the number of deaths will increase even more, in terms of difficulties, there will be countless more and will continue for a long time. It should also be reminded that yesterday, the Ministry of Health issued an announcement on the discovery of 37 new Kovid-19 virus B.1.617.2 (Delta) on passengers entering Cambodia on the 7th and 14th. July 2021. In all, 75 people have been diagnosed with the virus, and some have been cured.

The virus is about 15 times faster than the alpha virus, about five to seven times that of the normal Covid -19 virus, which does not mutate, both of which can worsen a patient's health.
