Families of Covid 19 victims sue PM, CCSA for millions of baht

    THAILAND: A prominent young man was killed by Covid -19, upsetting his mother, and filed a lawsuit on May 14, 2021 to sue the Thai Prime Minister and CCSA for compensation 4.53 million baht (Thai currency) or about 144,469 US dollars.

The mother of Kulsub Watthanaphol, a well-known figure in Thailand's e-sports industry, filed a lawsuit in Thai court on Friday, The Nation reported on May 14. Compensation of 4.53 million baht for the death of his son Kulsub died on April 23, 2021 during the spread of the Covid -19 wave.

Kulchet, Kulsub's brother, appeared in court after his mother filed a lawsuit demanding that the Covid -19 Status Control Center (CCSA), his prime minister, his secretary and the prime minister's office pay him four mental illnesses. 53 million baht for a cluster of Covid -19 in Bangkok, killing Kuchet. Her brother died of malnutrition at the time.

Kulchet stated that when his younger brother developed symptoms like Covid -19, he dialed the CCSA hotline, but the phones were always busy. Incited a Kovid-19 outbreak at Thong Lor in late March 2021. So all agents have to pay for the damage done to his family, he said.

Mr Kulchet explained that the 4.53 million baht claim was based on the amount of money Kulsub sent to his mother of 15,000 baht a month, or $ 478. Since his death, his mother has paid 4.5 million baht and spent up to 30,000 baht ($ 956) on the festival.

However, the Thai Prime Minister and the CCSA have not yet responded to the woman's complaint.
