Be careful! Your beard may also increase your risk of contracting Covid-19.

It is really good to grow a beard if you work at home or do not go out much during an outbreak.

However, experts say that having more beards increases your risk of contracting Covid-19.

"It has to do with the closure of your mask and face," said Dr. Anthony M. Rossi, a member of the Board of Dermatologists and a member of the American Academy of Dermatology.

"The thing about beards and masks is that if you have a lot of beards and wear a mask with gaps in your jaw, it can make the mask look very unattractive," says Rossi. "So it allows particles and air to flow through the mass."

This means that any droplets containing the virus that you release when talking, coughing or sneezing can sneak out through the edges of the gaping mass.

This also means that any drops of water emitted by those around you can get into your mass.

If those drops get into your mouth or nose, it can infect you.
