A spokesman for the Ministry of Health says that although Cambodia has a vaccine against Covid 19, it does not mean that we have forgotten to protect ourselves.

     Phnom Penh: Dr. O Vandin, Secretary of State of the Ministry of Health, said that even though Cambodia has 19 vaccines against Covid 19, it does not mean that we can return to normal immediately, must always protect ourselves.

In an interview with BTV on the night of December 8, 2020, she stated, "I would like to appeal to all people, even though we have a vaccine, this vaccine is not the only answer to prevent "It's not safe to be infected and not to be vaccinated."

She added that it is important that the joint message of the World Health Organization is appealing to all countries in the world that when the vaccine is used, all citizens should not forget. Self-protection measures, especially the three points, are still the most important: wearing a mask, washing hands, keeping personal safety distance of more than one and a half meters.

He said that Samdech Techo Hun Sen had instructed the Minister of Health and the Minister of Economy and Finance to prepare a budget of 1 million doses for the first 19 doses of Covid  vaccine to be given to the people for free.

Please be reminded that as of this morning, December 9, Cambodia has found a total of 354 people infected with Covid 19, of which a total of 307 have been treated and 47 are hospitalized (no deaths).
