A group of thieves stole 5,600 pairs of long-sleeved jeans worth about $ 40,000 from the Denim Abilo Cambodia Garment factory on the night of November 13, 2020 in Ta Lek village, Trapeang Veng commune, Kandal Steung district, Kandal province.
Sources said that before the incident on the evening of November 13, 2020 at 6 pm, factory workers left overtime and closed the warehouse and went home. On November 14, 2020, at 6:40 AM, when the workers returned to work, a worker named Pom Pich, who was in charge of the packing team, saw the messy packaging of the jeans and realized that there had been a burglary. The factory's administrative director immediately called the security chief to report the theft of the jeans. At 7:30 in the morning, the factory administration director arrived and inspected the doors and windows and found no scratches. When he went to look in the warehouse, he saw that the ceiling and roof were scratched, so he checked the security camera and saw that the thief had left a pair of scissors
Immediately after the incident, the factory administration director called the security chief to report the theft of jeans. At 7:30 in the morning, the director of the factory administration called the Trapeang Veng commune police station to inspect the place, and the Kandal Stung district criminal police, in cooperation with the provincial police, investigated the case.
