Mr. Preap Sovath was born on May 25, 1975 in the evening under the Snay tree, so he is still known as Snay. He is the only child in a family living in Koh Thom district, Kandal province. There is a father named Preap Sovath and a mother named Pho Samnang. In 1977, his father was killed by Pol Pot when he was two years old. In 1982, he and his mother came to live in Phnom Penh with great hardship, but due to his knowledgeable mother, he has been working in finance until today. In 1991, he passed the Baccalaureate and went on to study at the University of Economics (RULE), majoring in economics and law. In 1992, he enlisted in the army. Later, due to his talent in singing, he first sang in the bar and later joined the production of Smei Hang Meas as a contemporary singer in 1997. In addition to recording songs, Preap Sovath has also acted in various karaoke videos, and his singing partner is Ms. Him Sivan. The study was suspended because it was too busy in the arts. His first hit songs were "Lifeline" and "Heartbreak". Later, he became the number one famous singer in the country until today. For his love life, he married Long Srey Mom and now has three handsome sons.
