Some of our users are not careful with the data stored in some storage devices such as USB Flash Drive or Memory cards. The department asks you to be careful about the data contained therein when you want to sell or give those devices to others.
According to Abertay University researchers, the USB Flash Drives they purchased from eBay still store important user data. An analysis of the 100 USB drives purchased found 75,000 files containing personal and financial information of the users.
Of the 100 USB drives, only 32 are non-storage, 26 can download some data and 42 can fully download data.
The Technology Crime Department advises all users to be careful with their USB drives before selling or giving them to others to protect their sensitive personal files. First, please format (Formatting) all the data contained in it, then copy the data that is not logged in completely and delete that data again.
Please also note that the department has already advertised to users to be careful with the data stored on the computer's hard drive, because all deleted data is not completely erased from the hard drive. .
