He lied to his wife that he was infected with the coronavirus and wanted to die, but was found two months later at his girlfriend's house.

People today can use COVID-19 as an excuse to avoid any social contact or even with their partner. In this shocking case, a 28-year-old man from India left his home after telling his wife that he had contracted COVID-19. The man told his wife he wanted to die, but was later found at his girlfriend's house.

According to the Khaleej Times, the man was from Navi Mumbai and went missing on July 24. He called his wife and told her he had tested positive for COVID-19 and that he could no longer live. During that time, his wife did not finish asking questions, and the man hung up the phone. The wife then contacted her brother for help and filed a complaint for her husband's disappearance.

Police later found the man's motorcycle, helmet, bag and keys on a street in Vashi Sector 17, but the man was not found. Police tried to find the man based on his wife's complaint as much as possible, including security camera checks, check call locations. He was later found to have made 100 phone calls and twice to police, who are suspected of robbery.

However, after further investigation, the police found that the man had an affair and started looking for him. A month-long search revealed that the man was traveling to Indore, about 582 kilometers from Navi Mumbai. A team was then sent to look for the man and found him living with his mistress, who was brought back to Mumbai on September 15.
