Dangkor district sinks to neck as monks evacuate as quickly as possible

 

As of October 28, 2021, in the face of the flood situation of Stung Prek Tnaot, which hit some districts in Phnom Penh, it continues to attack relentlessly, with this year's floods being bigger than any other year. There was a pagoda in Phnom Penh that was flooded to the neck, which forced the monks and their residents to evacuate to the hills immediately.

According to the media, the pagoda that is being severely flooded is Wat Rattanak Tech, Kampong Kdol, located in Sangkat Sak Sampov, Khan Dangkor, Phnom Penh, while the monks in the pagoda may face the risk of lack of food after the water. The floodwaters receded.

Flooding in Stung Prek Tnaot continues to increase. At the same time, according to sources, six pagodas in Dangkor district were flooded. There are six pagodas along the Prek Tnaot River in Dangkor district that were flooded:

1. Wat Sak Sampov

2. Wat Chamkar Khsach

3. Wat Prek Chrey

4. Wat Haram

5. Wat Teuk Thla
