In the last 24 hours, 18,027 cases of Covid-19 have been reported and 133 deaths, the Thai Ministry of Health said Sunday morning.
Of the new infections, 17,653 were in the general population and 374 were inmates in prisons.
Since April 1, when the third wave of Covid erupted, 586,451 Covid patients, 377,896, had been cured.
Since the outbreak earlier this year, a total of 615,314 cases have been reported, of which 405,322 have been cured.
The death toll in the third wave was 4,896, bringing the total since the outbreak earlier last year to 4,990.
