On April 27, 2021, health officials identified a total of 169 Covid-19 infected people, including 123 foreigners.
Dr. Roeun Sothy, Deputy Director of Banteay Meanchey Provincial Health Department, said on the evening of April 27, 2021, health officials found a case of Covid-19 infection in an Indonesian man named John Hansu Hanto, 34 years old. Year of living in a rented house in Borey Duong Chan in Samaki Meanchey village, Sangkat-Poipet city on April 22, 2021. After such cases, the provincial authorities, following the instructions of the Ministry of Health, blocked the entry and exit at four red points in Poipet Sangkat.
As of April 27, 2021, officials had sampled a total of 1,387 direct and indirect stakeholders (360 females), including 544 Khmers (253 females). After taking samples of the people involved to test for Covid-19, the Ministry of Health of Cambodia announced the official results that a total of 169 Kovid-19 positive people (48 females) were found, including Indonesians. 120 people, 3 Chinese and 46 Cambodians.
After the positive findings, the Kovid-19 infected people were taken to the Banteay Meanchey Provincial Health Department for treatment.
