A beautiful young woman, while walking, dialing the phone, forgot to look at the road, fell into a canal and drowned, and was found dead by the authorities and local people at 7:15 pm on October 11. 2020 in Station Village, Sangkat Svay Ath, Pursat City, Pursat Province.
The victim, 21-year-old Song Reaksa, was a former student at the Pursat Polytechnic Institute majoring in electricity, but has now transferred to study at Angkor Khemara University, Pursat branch.
Mr. Yim Seang Hay, Police Inspector of Pursat City, claimed that before the incident, the young victim was walking, dialing the phone, not looking at her face, causing her to fall into the canal and drown.
After the incident, the authorities cooperated with the families of the bodies and the people to search for the bodies of the young victims in the water and make a record and hand it over to the families for the traditional ceremony.
Please note that this is the first case after Pursat province has been under severe pressure from floods. At the same time, the competent authorities have urged to increase the vigilance and be ready to evacuate the people to a safe place in advance to avoid accidents and transportation difficulties.
