World's oldest grandmother celebrates 134th birthday


Almihan Seyiti was born on June 25, 1886, during the Guangxi Emperor's reign and is now considered the world's oldest woman. On Thursday, officials held an elaborate banquet in Uigur, southwest China, to celebrate his 134th birthday.

Almihan was married at the age of 17 and has been a widow for 44 years. He spent his life as a singer and musician for three decades, and in 2013, he became China's oldest citizen at the age of 127. But more importantly, he is still healthy and able to hear and see even though his walk may seem a little difficult.

Almihan has yet to receive a Guinness World Record for being the world's oldest citizen, though he may now be 17 years older than the Japanese record holder. Who is 117 years old.
