Japan Provides Corona Virus to Cambodia


As part of efforts to combat the global new coronavirus infection, the Government of Japan has decided to provide the Kingdom with medical equipment, including 9,360 coats for 480 glasses of alcohol. 540 safety and 24,400 pairs of gloves. These materials are part of the self-defense kit that the Asia-Europe Fund (ASEF) has stored under the auspices of the Japanese government. The materials will be sent to Cambodia from a warehouse in Singapore with the coordination of the World Health Organization's Western Pacific Office (WPRO).

Promotion of international cooperation is indispensable to prevent further spread of the new strain of varicella. At the same time, Japan wants to strengthen cooperation with Cambodia. The Asia-Europe Fund (ASEF) was established in 1996 in Singapore as a permanent body of the Asia-Europe Meeting (ASEM), with a wide range of cultural and social activities.
