Different ways to celebrate Mother's Day in different countries

Many countries in the world often associate celebrations with the traditional culture of their own country. Here's how a big country celebrates Mother's Day:

1. France

French law, called Fetes Des Meres, designates the fourth Sunday of May as Mother's Day, except when it coincides with Pentecost. Aside from the differences in the timing of the holidays, the actions of the French people are not very different from the rest of the world.

2. China

May be a new festival for Chinese people, Mother's Day is celebrated in line with traditional Chinese education, which considers parents as the living God (Filial Piety). This day is held on the second week of May, when children often buy gifts for their mothers.

3. England

Since the 16th century, Britain has designated the fourth week of Lent as the day when family members gather to go to church, later changed to the day when families gather at home, accompanied by words. Bless their mothers.

4. India

Mother's Day is a new phenomenon in India, but it has become a popular foreign festival. On the second Sunday of May, mothers show their children love through bouquets of flowers, greetings and gifts.

5. Japan

Japan originally marked Mother's Day with the birthday of Princess Koujun, who reigned in the 20th century. But then Mother's Day was moved to the second Sunday in May, when Japanese people presented their mothers with gifts - especially bouquets.

6. Thailand

The holiday is set for August 12 to celebrate Queen Sirikit's birthday. Ceremonies and parades celebrate the two wishes of the holiday with jasmine gifts for mothers.
