On the morning of April 8, 2021, the police force of Sen Sok district sent the suspect, Phoeun Phireah, an ABA Bank security guard, to the Phnom Penh Municipal Court for legal action after he shot and killed a man on the spot.
On the same morning, Don & Don Phnom Penh Law Firm was seen making a press release on volunteering to provide free defense to Phoeun Phireah.
It should also be noted that due to seeing the family situation of the suspect as an orphan father, not only this person is also a former scholar who received a scholarship at the Department of French at the Royal University of Phnom Penh. Nine lawyers are meeting with Mr. Pheung Phireah to complete the defense proceedings in accordance with the law.
