Kep Province: A man who was angry with his ex-girlfriend also created many fake Facebook accounts and posted pictures of his ex-girlfriend and insulted the power (King), top leaders, governors and provincial commissioners. He was also arrested on December 15, 2020 in Kep Village, Sangkat Kep, Kep City.
According to Kep Provincial Police, the suspect, Ngin Suy Try, 25, was arrested by the Kep Provincial Anti-Technology Crime Department in cooperation with Kep Provincial Police in Kep Village, Sangkat Kep, Kep City, Kep Province, where the suspect lived.
According to the Anti-Technology Crime Department, the suspect had set up several fake Facebook accounts, insulted, defamed, inflated social media and created fake information to defame top leaders, including the King. Samdech Prime Minister, Provincial Governor, as well as some provincial police commissioners. The suspects often wrote obscene language and cut pictures on these fake Facebook accounts.
Ngin Suy Tri confessed that he had been in a relationship with a woman named Tos since the beginning of 2016. Later, she moved to work in Phnom Penh, which caused their relationship to fall apart, and she also had relationships with many other men. Because of this, they became jealous and created fake accounts named Try Seangmey, her father and many of her friends to attack the top leaders with the intention of blaming her and her friends. And her boyfriend as well as her family.
After the arrest, the Department of Technology Crime is cooperating with the Kep Provincial Police to prepare a case to send the suspect to court for processing.
