Somali authorities say a United Nations Kenyan DHC-8 humanitarian aid plane has crashed while landing at Beledweyne airport in central Somalia. Sabrie Ahmed, a local administrator in the Beledweyne town of Hiran, told the Associated Press on Tuesday that the plane crashed and collided with its body, setting it on fire. Fortunately, the three pilots on board were rescued in time. A Kenyan DHC-8 has flown out of Djibouti to deliver food to people displaced by heavy rains and flooding. The cause of the accident is still unknown.
